Redactle is a Wikipedia-based word puzzle game where a random article is displayed with all meaningful words redacted (blacked out). Your goal is to guess words to reveal them and ultimately identify the article's title.

How often does the daily puzzle change?

The daily puzzle changes every 24 hours at midnight UTC. Each day a new Wikipedia article is selected for the daily challenge.

What is the difference between Daily and Unlimited mode?

Daily mode gives you one specific article per day shared by all players. Unlimited mode lets you play as many games as you want with a random Wikipedia article each time.

What does the hint button do?

The hint button reveals one random unrevealed word from the article title. Each hint counts as a penalty in your score.

What is Smart Word Matching?

Smart Word Matching uses lemmatization to match words with the same root. For example, guessing 'walk' will also reveal 'walks' and 'walking' in the article.

Can I give up if I cannot solve it?

Yes! You can click the Give Up button to reveal the answer and see the full article. Your streak will be reset.
